t did not take long to realize that helping families to better afford a college education was the ideal way to leverage my professional financial and customer service skills into a career that would make a difference to future generations.

To gain a stronger understanding of financial aid, I attended intensive College Board financial aid institutes and other professional classes, studied on my own, learned from hands on experiences and became involvedwith professional academic and financial aid organizations. From these experiences, I also established strong networks with college, high school and financial aid professionals that continue to provide ongoing support especially during more complicated scenarios.

In the interim, I become the ACCESS program manager within the BostonPublic School system. During that time, my program was responsible for providing financial aid and scholarship support to over 2700 high school seniors. Working with headmasters, guidance counselors, parents and a diverse student population, the program achieved the highest levels of participation in it’s' history. Even more rewarding was the personal satisfaction of knowing how many new opportunities were created for those who may not otherwise have been able to attend college.

Returning to my financial aid consulting practice with a  stronger understanding and appreciation of all aspects of financial aid, I expanded my services described on this website to provide start to finish support  throughout the student’s education.

Putting my business background to work, I recognized that successful businesses are about creating value through honest and affordable services to benefit and win my client’s trust. Through word of mouth referrals from clients and other professionals, Financial Aid Consulting continues to enjoy dramatic double digit annual growth both locally and nationally. Whether working with clients in person, over the internet, or via telephone conferences, every day presents a new challenge and opportunity to make a make a difference in someone’s life.

I am proud to be a financial aid consultant and grateful to those who have made this remarkable journey possible.

Sincerely,

Howard Freedman
